Where is Tri An Lake?
Tri An Lake is a part of The Tri An Hydrielectric Dam in Dong Nai Province, Vietnam. It takes only 2-3 hours from Ho Chi Minh City to Tri An Lake, only 70km from the center of HCMC àn 30km from Bien Hoa City. The lake was built for the purpose of producing electricity, but the scenery of Tri An Lake is very beautiful so it attracts many tourists to visit on weekends.
The lake also has more than 40 large and small islands, some of which are well-know for their poetic beauty such as Chim O Island, ect. How to visit Tri An Lake
Specific address: Tri An lake is located in 4 districts of Thong Nhat, Vinh Cuu, Dinh Quan and Trang Bom of Dong Nai province.
You can move to the lake by motorbike, taxi or bus. The road is quite easy and it only takes you about 2-3 hours from HCMC to get there.
Specific directions for foreign tourists who do not know the road in Vietnam but want to ride a motorbike to explore on your own.
From the center of HCMC, you go along National Highway 1 to Vng Tau Junction (You can ask the locals where Vung Tau Junction is, or find the place yourself on Google Map.)
When you come to the junction, turn right onto Vo Nguyen Giap Street, then go straight until meeting another Highway - turn right there.
After that continue to go staight to Tri An Junction, and turn left onto Hung Vuong Street.
Finally, you jusst need to go staight to Vinh An town and you have reaches Tri An Lake.
You can refuel your motorbike and buy local food along the way to Tri An town. The best time to go camping in Tri An Lake is around October to June next year. You should avoid the time from July to September because this is the rainy season, so it will be very dangerous for you to move, and perform outdoor fun activities.

Fishing is one of the best experiences for foreigner' tourists. Especially at dawn or dusk, you will feel the romantic and poetic scenery of Tri An that can dispel the fatgue and stress of life.
