What to see in Vietnam’s Central Highlands
Festival Seasons
Kon Tum: Gia Rai people here have two important festivals: Benya and Hơk h’mô rôông râu. Hơk h’mô rôông râu festival is the ceremony to celebrate the new Rong house, there are two typical rituals: worshiping and carrying the buffalo's head to the Rong house and the planting Pơlang trees in the yard. Benya is a ceremony to worship the gods.
Pleiku, Gia Lai: Buffalo-stabbing festival of Ba-na Ethnic is held for the purpose of worshiping gods or people who have had merit in establishing villages, celebrating bountiful harvests or celebrating other important events. This is one of the traditional festivals of the Central Highlands ethnic groups in Vietnam.
Da Lat: Da Lat is known as the city of thousands of flowers, where the biggest Dalat Flower Festival is held every 2 years at the end of the year.
