PDC.ASIA: ORGANIZER OF THE 2024 "PRIDE OF OUR NATION" HALF-MARATHON RACE

Held on April 20-21, 2024, in the Tan Nhut commune (Binh Chanh district), the first-ever ""PRIDE OF OUR NATION" Half-marathon race organized by the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper attracted a large number of amateur and professional runners from across the country.

PDC was honored to be the main operation for the "PRIDE OF OUR NATION" Half-marathon organized by the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper. Runners had the first opportunity to participate in a cross-country running in Ho Chi Minh City. With 3 distances to be chosen from 5km, 10km, 21km and 1.5km distance for kid runs.

Event Schedule

The 2024 “PRIDE OF OUR NATION” Half-marathon took place over 2 days, April 20-21, 2024. The 1.5km Kids Run (for children) took place on April 20, 2024, along with the distribution of race kits to participating runners.

April 21, 2024, was the official competition day of the event with 3 distances: 5km, 10km, and 21km.

Runners started at the Mau Than 1968 Relic Site and ran along the main roads of Tan Nhut commune such as The Lu, embankment road No. 2, Tan Long street, Tan Nhut bridge, Ba Ty embankment, Lang Le - Bau Co Relic Site and finished at the starting point - Mau Than 1968 Relic Site.

The entire running route is a spacious and well-maintained commune-level concrete road, with many sections interspersed with lush green rice fields, fruit orchards laden with fruit, or traditional culinary villages providing local specialties.

The picturesque and rustic scenery of the old countryside will bring runners unique experiences, especially when everyone can immerse themselves in the open space and capture it with beautiful photos to commemorate the "one-of-a-kind" destination...

Also on April 21, 2024, the "Scholarship for Ethnic Minority Students and Poor Students" program, founded by former Politburo member and former First Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and managed by the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, will be held. 213 scholarships will be awarded to support the study expenses of disadvantaged students living in Binh Chanh district.
