After the COVID-19 pandemic, Ho Chi Minh City gladly welcomed HCMC Night Run Thang Loi Group that took place at midnight of May 14, 2022. PDC is extremely proud to be the operating partner of the first Night Run in HCMC.

Ho Chi Minh City is known as “The city that never sleeps” in Vietnam. At night, the city puts on a completely different “coat”. Those are high-rise buildings, modern architecture, ancient architecture; the streets suddenly become more prominent with colorful, vibrant and bustling lights. Ho Chi Minh City will always welcome all investors, visitors and people across the country with hospitality, love and warmth.

The race would offer a beautiful race through the central districts, monuments, architectural works, iconic landmarks of the city and bustling street corners.

This race was organized with the goal of:

• Promote the image of Ho Chi Minh City to the community of runners, domestic and foreign tourists. This also was an opportunity for runners to admire the magnificent beauty of the city through a series of architecture that are symbols of the magnificent Saigon. Especially the bustling but no less romantic inherent in urban culture.
• Encourage the spirit of exercise and healthy lifestyle to improve health, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The race took place with 2 distances: 21KM (half marathon) and 10KM and attracted nearly 2000 runners.

The organizers put a lot of effort in designing the running track so that the runners could experience the nightlife at all locations of the central districts, and bring emotions for the land “the Pearl of the Far East.”

The atmosphere of Ho Chi Minh City Night Run Thang Loi Group 2022 expo area was hotter than ever when a lot of runners came to receive the race kit and got ready for this special night run.

The opening ceremony of the tournament will be held at the start-line at 21:30 on May 14, 2022 . Runners who participated in the 10km, started at 1:55 and started at 3:00 am for 21km on May 15, 2022.

Runners would started from Cung Van Hoa Lao Dong and run through architectural works, iconic places of the city such as Diamond Plaza, Saigon Zoo, Turtle Lake, Independence Palace, HCMC Post Office, Bitexco Building, Ben Thanh Market, Immaculate Conception Cathedral Basilica, Nha Rong Harbour,...
